In 1993, at the start of the semi-conductor upswing, Al Mannhalter left a General Manager position with a large Portland, Oregon firm, and opened ASCO Machine, Inc. While ASCO Machine started as a small two-man operation in a 1000 square foot building, our reputation for superior workmanship enabled us to develop into a substantial business employing twenty-two machinists in a 10,000 square foot facility, and with a customer base stretching from coast to coast and into Canada.

ASCO Machine provides services for almost all industries such as: Robotics, Medical, Food Processing, Pulp/Paper, Communications, Marine, Avionics, Oil/Gas and many others. We have continued to push ourselves to encompass all facets of machining utilizing machines that cover many different machining methods including; CNC milling and turning, large diameter turning, grinding, wire EDM, and laser and water jet cutting. ASCO Machine also has a well-equipped fabrication department with welding, cutting and forming capabilities. We have developed relationships with local companies that provide plating, heat-treating, and testing to further be of assistance to our customers.

ASCO Machine has always had a strong background working with the basic materials, such as Steel, Stainless, Aluminum and Brass, but we also are skilled in producing parts with more demanding material such as; Inconel, Hastloy, Monel, Titanium, Tungsten,  17-4,  15-5,  13-8,  316 and all the 400 series steels.  We also machine all plastics; PVDF, Teflon, NPP, PEEK, PFA, Rulon and Torlon to name a few.
